Large Country Garden, North Essex 

Following plans for complete home renovations, my clients wanted a garden with ‘wow’ factor. The 1.5 acre garden was largely laid to lawn with a pool and tennis court in need of renovation. We created discrete entertainment and utility zones leading from the house, repaved the pool terrace with French limestone and a decked pool platform. We contoured the garden to create distinct levels and interest with stone chipping paths connecting the various zones. The scheme includes a strategically situated new outdoor sauna, glasshouse, and dining terrace with views from the house buffered by layers of planting.

The existing orchard is being retained and improved with topiary and rough grass to create a focal parterre inspired by a French monastery.
