North Essex Family Garden

Following a full house refurbishment, I was tasked with redesigning the front and back gardens of this modern village home. The clients wanted it to blend more harmoniously into the landscape whilst also providing a dedicated outdoor dining space and more privacy from surrounding residential gardens. As a mature garden, there were many trees and shrubs the clients wanted to keep. I worked closely with them on a planting plan to bring new colours into the garden. Woodland planting and a new specimen tree concealed the new fence at the far end of the garden, extending the site to merge with the borrowed landscape beyond. We reduced the vast lawn to a smaller area flanked by interesting borders and a large kitchen garden.
