East London Courtyard Garden 

Newly planted in 2022, the bare patio of this beautifully restored converted school building was transformed into a private, lush jungle that could provide a tranquil space for morning yoga as well as evening gatherings with friends. Being a South-facing patio with beautiful Yorkstone paving, the challenge was to devise a planting plan suitable for containers that would withstand the fierce midday sun while evoking a verdant equatorial rainforest with an emphasis on structural evergreen planting.
